Eunmee Shim, RN, MSN
President
Eunmee Shim serves as President of Adventist HealthCare Fort Washington Medical Center. Eunmee’s years of experience as a hospital executive, an ambulatory services leader and a strategic planner is helping prepare Fort Washington to meet the needs of the expanding community.
In addition to leading the Prince George’s County hospital, she also serves as the President of Ambulatory Networks for Adventist HealthCare. In that role, Eunmee oversees the growth of the system’s urgent care and imaging centers.
Prior to being named to her current position in August 2019, Eunmee also served as Chief Strategy Officer for Adventist HealthCare, where she oversaw new business initiatives for one of the longest-serving healthcare systems in the D.C. region. As Chief Strategy Officer, she worked with Adventist HealthCare’s boards and executives to support the development of the organization’s strategic plan.
Eunmee joined Adventist HealthCare in 2011 and served first as the Chief Operating Officer at Adventist HealthCare Shady Grove Medical Center. Under her leadership, the hospital achieved numerous accolades and awards for quality care and performance. Eunmee has also served as an Executive Fellow for the national Baldrige excellence program and has led Adventist HealthCare’s Baldrige initiative.
Eunmee holds a Master of Science in Nursing Informatics from Columbia University School of Nursing, as well as a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Sahmyook University in Seoul, Korea.
Tammy J. Woodfork, MBA, SPHR, SHRM-SCP
Senior Director, Corporate Human Resources
Tammy J. Woodfork is the Senior Director, Corporate Human Resources at Adventist HealthCare Fort Washington Medical Center. Ms. Woodfork has more than 30 years of experience in human resources, with specific expertise in health care and employee relations.
Ms. Woodfork is responsible for the overall leadership of the human resources department including benefits, compensation, employee relations, performance management, and regulatory compliance.
Before joining Fort Washington, Ms. Woodfork served as the Director of Human Resources at The Washington Home and Community Hospices in the District of Columbia. Her experience also includes roles at Englewood Hospital in Englewood, New Jersey, HealthSouth Reading Rehabilitation Hospital in Reading, Pennsylvania, and Washington Adventist Hospital in Takoma Park, Maryland.
Ms. Woodfork earned a Bachelor of Arts degree from Oakwood University in Huntsville, Alabama and is currently pursuing a Master of Business Administration at Washington Adventist University in Takoma Park, Maryland. She is a member of the Society for Human Resources Management and the American Society for Healthcare Human Resource Association.
