Eunmee Shim, RN, MSN
Eunmee Shim serves as President of Adventist HealthCare Fort Washington Medical Center. Eunmee’s years of experience as a hospital executive, an ambulatory services leader and a strategic planner is helping prepare Fort Washington to meet the needs of the expanding community.
In addition to leading the Prince George’s County hospital, she also serves as the President of Ambulatory Networks for Adventist HealthCare. In that role, Eunmee oversees the growth of the system’s urgent care and imaging centers.
Prior to being named to her current position in August 2019, Eunmee also served as Chief Strategy Officer for Adventist HealthCare, where she oversaw new business initiatives for one of the longest-serving healthcare systems in the D.C. region. As Chief Strategy Officer, she worked with Adventist HealthCare’s boards and executives to support the development of the organization’s strategic plan.
Eunmee joined Adventist HealthCare in 2011 and served first as the Chief Operating Officer at Adventist HealthCare Shady Grove Medical Center. Under her leadership, the hospital achieved numerous accolades and awards for quality care and performance. Eunmee has also served as an Executive Fellow for the national Baldrige excellence program and has led Adventist HealthCare’s Baldrige initiative.
Eunmee holds a Master of Science in Nursing Informatics from Columbia University School of Nursing, as well as a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Sahmyook University in Seoul, Korea.
Ann Toupin, RN, BSN, MBA, CENP
Vice President, Chief Operating Officer & Chief Nursing Officer
Ann Toupin, RN, BSN, MBA, CENP, is Vice President, Chief Operating Officer and Chief Nursing Officer at Adventist HealthCare Fort Washington Medical Center. Ann oversees the day-to-day and nursing operations at the hospital, and also serves as the closest link between the physicians, nurses, and leaders, working to formulate and implement strategies to improve the quality of care for our patients.
Ann has extensive experience in healthcare management spanning 40 years. She began her career with Adventist HealthCare at Shady Grove Medical Center where she served as the Director of Surgical Services. Prior to joining Adventist HealthCare in 2014, Ann served as the Director of Surgical Services at Advent Health in Palm Coast, Florida for over a decade.
Ann earned her undergraduate degree in nursing and an MBA in Healthcare Management from Western Governor’s University. She also earned two notable nursing credentials, Certified Perioperative Nurse (CNOR) and Certified Executive Nurse Practice (CENP). In addition, Ann is the proud recipient of the 2017 Leadership Impact Award at Adventist HealthCare, which is one of the most esteemed awards bestowed to leadership.
Ann is originally from Rhode Island. She and her husband Don have two children, one granddaughter, and one on the way. In their spare time, they enjoy traveling, golfing, and living by the water in Annapolis.
Griffin L. Davis, MD, MPH, MBA
Vice President, Chief Medical Officer
Griffin Davis, MD, MPH, MBA is the Vice President & Chief Medical Officer at Adventist HealthCare Fort Washington Medical Center. Dr. Davis leads the overall clinical vision for the hospital and provides medical oversight, expertise, and leadership to ensure the delivery of high quality health care services.
Dr. Davis has extensive experience in health care administration and the faculty role. He has held leadership roles in academic medical centers and community hospitals. Prior to joining Fort Washington, he served as the Director of Physician Quality and the Chief of the Administrative Section at the George Washington University Medical Faculty Associates. While there, Dr. Davis developed the Department of Emergency Medicine’s quality agenda for 20 physicians and 10 physician assistants across two clinical sites. Under his leadership, he managed and coordinated the resident quality improvement program resulting in the implementation of 12 resident-led improvement projects, as well as expanded the medical scribe program to outpatient specialty clinics including Orthopedics, Urology, ENT, Rheumatology, Family Medicine, and Radiation Oncology.
Dr. Davis also served as the Chair of Emergency Medicine at Prince George’s Hospital Center, where he was responsible for the clinical operations and financial performance of its community emergency department, which serviced 45,000 patients annually. Under his leadership, the department selected and implemented its first electronic medical record system, and earned the 2010 Healthgrades Excellence in Emergency Medicine.
Dr. Davis earned a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, Master in Public Health from Johns Hopkins University, Doctor of Medicine from Johns Hopkins University, and Master of Business Administration from George Washington University. He is a clinical associate professor of emergency medicine and a Board Certified emergency physician at the George Washington University Hospital. He currently serves as Vice-President and Chief Medical Officer for Adventist HealthCare Fort Washington Medical Center.
Dr. Davis is a member of the American College of Healthcare Emergency Physicians, American Association of Physician Leaders, International Society of Quality in Healthcare, and the National Medical Association. He is also a published author, educator, and presenter.
Tammy J. Woodfork, MBA, SPHR, SHRM-SCP
Senior Director, Corporate Human Resources
Tammy J. Woodfork is the Senior Director, Corporate Human Resources at Adventist HealthCare Fort Washington Medical Center. Ms. Woodfork has more than 30 years of experience in human resources, with specific expertise in health care and employee relations.
Ms. Woodfork is responsible for the overall leadership of the human resources department including benefits, compensation, employee relations, performance management, and regulatory compliance.
Before joining Fort Washington, Ms. Woodfork served as the Director of Human Resources at The Washington Home and Community Hospices in the District of Columbia. Her experience also includes roles at Englewood Hospital in Englewood, New Jersey, HealthSouth Reading Rehabilitation Hospital in Reading, Pennsylvania, and Washington Adventist Hospital in Takoma Park, Maryland.
Ms. Woodfork earned a Bachelor of Arts degree from Oakwood University in Huntsville, Alabama and is currently pursuing a Master of Business Administration at Washington Adventist University in Takoma Park, Maryland. She is a member of the Society for Human Resources Management and the American Society for Healthcare Human Resource Association.
