Patient & Family Advisory Council
Adventist HealthCare Shady Grove Medical Center has established a Patient and Family Advisory Council (PFAC) of volunteers to guide our world-class patient care.
Want to Give Input on How to Improve Shady Grove Medical Center?
Consider serving on our Advisory Council, which helps guide improvements to the patient and family experience. Shady Grove Medical Center is looking for people who share our commitment to world-class healthcare to join this influential council. Current and former patients and their family members meet regularly with our hospital leadership and staff to give personal input on policies and programs throughout the hospital.
The council is looking for patients and families members who represent a variety of experiences and backgrounds. Candidates should be willing to speak freely but constructively about both positive and negative experiences. The council meets monthly and attendance is required.
If selected, council members must:
- attend at least six of 12 scheduled meetings per year.
- attend a mandatory orientation (during the council’s regularly scheduled meeting time).
- agree to the requirements of the Health Insurance Portability & Accountability Act (HIPAA) and confidentiality.
