Visitor lots will incur the following hourly charges:
- Less than 30 minutes: Free
- 30 minutes to 1 hour: $2
- More than 1 hour to 2 hours: $3
- More than 2 hours to 3 hours: $5
- More than 3 hours: $7
A maximum parking fee of $7 applies per calendar day. Vehicles that remain in the parking garage overnight will incur a new daily parking charge.
Validated Parking
Free parking with a validated ticket is available for Shady Grove Medical Center patients who are receiving the following services:
- Outpatient Surgery
- NICU
- Outpatient Wound Care and Infusion Services
- Shady Grove Aquilino Cancer Center
In general, all visitors and patients pay for parking. This approach was chosen in order to keep a low hourly rate.
Visitors can pay at the exit gates in each lot or at one of two payment kiosks at the entrances to Shady Grove Medical Center.
Like other hospitals in the region, we have to find ways to offset the cost of providing parking spaces for all who visit our campus. Charging a reasonable fee will help our nonprofit organization fund improvements, safety measures and other needs on our campus.

A patient or visitor who has lost or damaged their ticket will need to contact the on-duty parking attendant by using the intercom system at the gates or pay stations, or by calling Security at 240-826-6671. Lost tickets are $5.
