Adventist Home Health Receives National Quality Award

Division of Adventist HealthCare Home Care Services Recognized for Fifth Year

2016 HomeCare Elite Top Agency AwardGaithersburg, MD – The Home Health division of Adventist HealthCare Home Care Services has been named a Top Agency of 2016 by HomeCare Elite. This is the fifth year in a row that Adventist has received this award, which is presented to the top 25 percent of Medicare-certified agencies in the United States.

“It is a tremendous honor for us to receive this recognition based on the quality care and great experience we are committed to providing to our patients,” said Keith Ballenger, vice president of Adventist HealthCare Home Care Services. “I want to particularly recognize our team of nurses, therapists, social workers, home health aides and dieticians who visit our patients and work with families on a daily basis to provide compassionate, quality care that truly results in the best outcomes.”

Winners of the HomeCare Elite award are ranked by an analysis of publicly available performance measures in quality outcomes, best practice (process measure) implementation, patient experience (Home Health CAHPS®), quality improvement and consistency and financial performance. In order to be considered, an agency must be Medicare-certified and have data for at least one outcome in Home Health Compare. Out of 9,406 agencies considered, 2,353 are recognized on the 2016 HomeCare Elite winners list overall.
