Adventist HealthCare Buys Headquarters Building
Purchase Signals Commitment to Further Expansion of Healthcare in Region
Gaithersburg, MD – Adventist HealthCare announced today that it has purchased its headquarters building located at 820 West Diamond Avenue in Gaithersburg, Maryland, further solidifying its commitment to providing healthcare to the Washington, D.C., region. Prior to the acquisition, the top three floors of the six-story building have been the home to the healthcare system’s headquarters since 2013.
"Obtaining the building will allow Adventist HealthCare to continue to expand its non-clinical services teams to support the increasing number of hospital and outpatient locations that make up our growing healthcare system," explained Terry Forde, President and CEO for Adventist HealthCare.
This news comes in the wake of other initiatives that Adventist HealthCare has completed recently, including opening five new wellness centers in partnership with CoreLife, developing medical pavilions at National Harbor, expanding its network of outpatient imaging centers and launching the White Oak Cancer Center as a joint venture with Maryland Oncology Hematology.
"The purchase of this property will allow us to further provide world-class medical services while controlling costs so we can continue to support our community’s health needs," said James Lee, Executive Vice President and CFO for Adventist HealthCare.
