
Shady Grove Medical Center Wound Care Center Earns National Awards for Superior Outcomes
GAITHERSBURG, Md. – The Center for Advanced Wound Care & Hyperbaric Medicine at Adventist HealthCare Shady Grove Medical has received the Center of Distinction Award and the Robert A. Warriner III, M.D., Clinical Excellence Award for 2025 from Healogics, the nation’s largest provider of advanced wound care services.
The awards recognize centers that achieve high patient satisfaction and strong clinical outcomes for patients with chronic, nonhealing wounds, including diabetic ulcers, pressure injuries and infections.

"Achieving the Center of Distinction and Center of Excellence statuses underscores the dedication of our team to patients living with chronic wounds."
To earn Center of Distinction status, the Shady Grove team achieved a patient satisfaction rate above 92 percent. The center also ranked in the top 10 percent of eligible Healogics Wound Care Centers for clinical excellence, measured by a comprehensive healing rate weighted by wound type.
Shady Grove Medical Center offers advanced wound care treatments including negative‑pressure wound therapy, bioengineered tissues, biosynthetic dressings and growth factor therapies. The center also provides hyperbaric oxygen therapy, which surrounds patients with 100 percent oxygen to support wound healing.
