Primary Stroke Center Team

At Adventist HealthCare's Primary Stroke Centers, our multi-disciplinary stroke teams are made up of an Emergency Department physician, a neurologist, the stroke program coordinator, a stroke nurse responder, a bedside nurse and a radiologist – is on-call 24 hours a day to identify stroke patients and begin treatment quickly to improve outcomes and minimize the chances of long-term disability.

Once admitted, our patients are treated on a dedicated stroke unit staffed with specialized nurses, speech therapists, physical therapists and, if necessary, the nurse diabetes educator. We provide a system of care that follows nationally accepted guidelines, which ensure consistency among all of our patients.
