You don’t need to make an appointment for an X-ray. Enjoy the convenience of walk-in X-ray services at an imaging center near you. When you arrive, our technologists will put you at ease and explain what to expect.

What’s an X-Ray?

An X-ray is a noninvasive test that uses small amounts of radiation to create pictures of the inside of your body. X-rays help your doctor diagnose common conditions and injuries such as:

Arthritis
Broken bones
Infections, like pneumonia
Sinus problems

How to Prepare for an X-Ray

You won’t need to do anything before your X-ray unless a member of your care team says otherwise.

Bring a referral from your doctor, your insurance cards and a photo ID to the imaging center. Before your test, you may need to fill out paperwork. Tell our staff if you:

Are allergic to IV or oral contrast
Are breastfeeding
Are pregnant or could be pregnant
Have diabetes or kidney disease

What to Expect

Depending on the body part you have an X-ray on, you may need to:

Remove some of your clothing and change into a gown.
Take off your jewelry.
