Eunmee Shim, RN, MSN
President, Fort Washington Medical Center & Ambulatory Networks
Eunmee Shim serves as President of Adventist HealthCare Fort Washington Medical Center. Eunmee’s years of experience as a hospital executive, an ambulatory services leader and a strategic planner is helping prepare Fort Washington to meet the needs of the expanding community.
In addition to leading the Prince George’s County hospital, she also serves as the President of Ambulatory Networks for Adventist HealthCare. In that role, Eunmee oversees the growth of the system’s urgent care and imaging centers.
Prior to being named to her current position in August 2019, Eunmee also served as Chief Strategy Officer for Adventist HealthCare, where she oversaw new business initiatives for one of the longest-serving healthcare systems in the D.C. region. As Chief Strategy Officer, she worked with Adventist HealthCare’s boards and executives to support the development of the organization’s strategic plan.
Eunmee joined Adventist HealthCare in 2011 and served first as the Chief Operating Officer at Adventist HealthCare Shady Grove Medical Center. Under her leadership, the hospital achieved numerous accolades and awards for quality care and performance. Eunmee has also served as an Executive Fellow for the national Baldrige excellence program and has led Adventist HealthCare’s Baldrige initiative.
Eunmee holds a Master of Science in Nursing Informatics from Columbia University School of Nursing, as well as a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Sahmyook University in Seoul, Korea.
Amra Nasir, MD
Medical Director of Clinical Operations, Urgent Care
Amra Nasir, MD, is the Medical Director of Clinical Operations for Adventist HealthCare Urgent Care. Prior to joining Adventist HealthCare, she was the senior medical officer for the Maries Stopes Society, a reproductive health services organization in Pakistan. Dr. Nasir also served as the primary and urgent care physician for Yakima Valley Farm Worker’s Clinic in Washington.
Dr. Nasir earned her medical degree from Sindh Medical College in Pakistan, completed her internship at St. Joseph’s Hospital and her residency at Central Washington Family Medicine. She is certified by the American Board of Family Medicine and is a member of the American Academy of Physicians. Dr. Nasir is fluent in Hindi, Punjabi and Urdu.
Richard Samuel, MD
Medical Director of Occupational Health, Urgent Care
Richard Samuel, MD is the Medical Director of Occupational Health and a physician for Adventist HealthCare Urgent Care. Prior to joining Adventist HealthCare, he worked at other urgent care centers in Maryland and Virginia. He was recognized as Physician of the Year for INOVA Emergency Care.
Dr. Samuel earned his medical degree and completed his internship at Christian Medical College. He completed his residency at the Medical College of Pennsylvania, Episcopal Hospital, where he specialized in internal medicine and was named chief resident. He is certified by the American Board of Urgent Care Medicine and is a member of the American Academy of Urgent Care Medicine, American College of Occupational and Environmental Medicine, Virginia Medical Society and the Maryland State Medical Society. Dr. Samuel is fluent in Hindi and Tamil, and enjoys gardening and traveling in his spare time.
Bridget Plummer, RN
Director, Urgent Care Operations
Bridget Plummer, RN, is the Director of Urgent Care Operations for Adventist HealthCare. With over 30 years of cardiac and emergency healthcare experience, she is an expert in providing nursing leadership.
In her role as Director of Urgent Care Operations, Bridget supports all Adventist HealthCare Urgent Care locations by improving quality of care, patient experience, clinical workflow and patient throughput. Her expertise includes service-line leadership, operations, financial management, team building and building relationships through engagement.
Prior to joining Adventist HealthCare, Bridget was a Regional Nurse Executive with Nihon Kohden where she led multiple industry-leading quality improvement efforts. She received a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Notre Dame of Maryland.
